My name is Nicholle Stoller and welcome to my (hopefully not too) awkward essay about myself!
It’s a bit of a funny story how I ended up in the Jiu Jitsu world. Back in January of 2012, I was overweight and bored to tears of the traditional gym. I remembered my years in Tae Kwon Do as a teenager, and decided to give martial arts a try again. I did a search for Martial Arts in Nashville and came up with Nashville MMA, so I set an appointment have a tour.
I ended up with an introductory lesson that day and it was rather interesting, being my first interaction with a professional MMA fighter. Long story short, I ended up signing up that day for the introductory MMA program. After a couple months, I had to decide between Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai as a primary focus point, and my decision came down to a very simple fact. The Gi cost less than the sparring equipment.
